Smoking Cessation

Do you want to stop smoking but unable to quit? You may have tried nicotine replacement therapy such as patches, e-ciggs, champix or even your local NHS stop smoking service? You may have been smoking for years or just a short while but the thought of giving up can often be a difficult one.

Imagine the freedom that comes without the need to smoke. The need to leave work, parties or going outside in the rain because of your addiction as well as the worries it causes about your health. The financial impact or where to get your next packet of cigarettes from are worries that could all be gone.

Become a non smoker

Nobody is born with a need to smoke. It is a choice made by many for a variety of different reasons.

Stopping smoking is a thought that feels very difficult, however giving up smoking is not something we are actually giving up it is merely returning to being a non smoker. Your body is designed not to smoke. By becoming a non smoker you are returning to your natural state.

Now we are all aware of the health implications and risks of smoking but there are many other fears that are perhaps aren’t as well discussed. Such As:

  • All my friends smoke – what will they think of me?
  • Smoking helps me to relax. How will I cope?
  • Will I put on weight?
  • What do I do when I’d normally have a cigarette?

Hypnotherapy can help you to address all of these issues. Hypnotherapy when combined your own willpower and determination can be a powerful in returning you to your natural non-smoking state.

What does it involve?

To begin I will ask you to complete an information form. The completion of the form will allow me to tailor your session to you and your individual situation. Your first session will last 1 hour. We will go through your answers and identify any underlying issues that may be influencing your smoking habit and patterns. We will also do some hypnotherapy to prepare you for you sessions.

After two weeks you will return for your second session. The session will last between 1.5 and 2 hours. We will use a combination of hypnosis and NLP to help you become a non-smoker again.

 

Is it guaranteed to work?

Hypnotherapy can be affected by many factors including the level of rapport with you therapist and the techniques used. Your level of motivation, commitment and participation in becoming a non-smoker are the most important factors. Due to this I will not promise or guarantee success, as should no responsible or ethical hypnotherapist. I will however promise that using my expertise and skill, combined with your determination and commitment i will do my very best to help you become a non-smoker again.
